Good catalogue, laggy, can’t access downloaded offline episodes without being connected to internet
  • Lagging

I do not enjoy HBO Max. I have to say it is one of the worse streaming services I have. Always lags. Never works offline.
  • All the sudden ads are interrupting sex a t city

    By Missing package
Up until this week I’ve never had ads in between sex and the city episode or any HBO originals. Why is this happening all of a sudden if it continues, I will delete app and cancel subscription.
  • Great content, bad app

    By Himhahahahaha
The content is consistently great, but the app is not good. It’s passable but not as good as other streaming options while streaming. But it’s wonky at best when trying to play downloaded content. The app doesn’t play content that has been downloaded unless you can connect to the internet, which defeats the point of downloads.
  • Horrible

Audio keeps going but scenes freeze. That’s if there’s anything in the screen at all. Embarrassing.
  • slow

i was charged twice just now. i can provide my bank statements. and it’s still saying i haven’t paid anything. i’ve tried closing the app and logging out then logging in, nothing is working. i liked hbo max in the past but idk what’s going on now??? i’ve never had something like this happen w any other streaming service.
  • Literally just doesn’t work

    By FilmScribe86
HBO got in touch with me based on my review and was able to get my issue resolved. Great customer support.
  • Can’t watch downloaded content

    By HomeUserDad
This app is super buggy for a premium and name brand service. I can’t get it to allow me to watch downloaded content. When I don’t have internet it keeps saying there’s no data connection and doesn’t allow anything in the app to be accessed.
  • What were they thinking?

    By aberrant-nyc
I wonder whether anyone at HBO actually uses this app. In order to access your downloaded items you need… an internet connection. What’s the point? You can’t watch on a plane or anywhere there’s no connectivity.
  • Horribly managed

The HBO Max library is a disaster lately and I couldn’t be more disappointed. Will not be using it in the future.
